The creation of Michael Seabrook and Richard Bennett.  Richard was the percussionist and conceptualist and provider of atmospherics
and Michael turned these concepts into instrumentals of great power and presence.

If  you like industrial music, or experimental rock, or just something different, you will like these melodic but (to some) difficult pieces.

1.  Chromatic...
Ikon Anarchos Esoterics 7:35  

Samples of eastern chanting  on a shortwave radio, followed by a slow but industrial based percussion track with a definite "world"
feel.  The  Synthesiser was played through a guitar amp. I think the bells were on an old Yamaha DX7!  This is haunting, but strangely
magnificent.

2.  Organix
Ikon Anarchos Esoterics 4:57  

A new instrument the "Electrophon" was played on this track.
This was basically a synth fed through a reel to reel tape recorder, but delayed and amplified to deliberately distort, the noise is like the
passage of air.
Some vocals were fed through this process.  The guitar playing is rather good on this one.
However the recorder actually broke after this process and the effect was never repeated again after this track.

3  Illuminatus

A brand new track composed for this compilation. This is a good commercial for the album, elements of the same style but more approachable.

4  Leviathan Awakes -

Loud guitars, insistent percussion, blistering atmospheres, this is a powerful piece, a real monster, as indeed the theme of the piece is
the havoc caused by a monster, this is appropiate!

5  Dark Desires

With no percussion whatsoever, this has a dark ambient feel. Strange noises ebb and flow from deep resonant synth parts. From nowhere
an opera singer appears...

6 Shoal

This epic and dark, mesmeric Industrial style  track was originally lost due to issues with the recording.  Finally this was remastered with a few missing
digital ticks eliminated and it was good to hear this after a few years when I had not heard it for so long. The use of tape loops is prevalant
in this track.  Not sure if it isn't a bit too long....but it hypnotises, so the time seems to pass quite quickly.  This is about over fishing, from the point
of view of the fish.  Perhaps, at the end, the fish strike back....

7  Mechanismus

For IA, this is really almost a dance track.  The concept of automated machinery os well imagined by the sequencer parts of the synthesisers.


8 Cordon Sanitaire

Instrumental track about war, dramatic and powerful. Very doom laden.

9  Another Dark Age

Influenced by early SPK, this track is announced by a long forgotten film sample talking about pestilence and famine.

Perhaps a reflection of the past, and the present. Are we now looking at another Dark Age


10  Hinterland

Samples of a distant train, strange drum and ghostly choirs. Truly original and compelling music

12 Ogres  4.39

This track was mixed and left on an old digital recording. Only discovered it had some charm recently, despite its
wonky sounding synthesiser parts, this seems a more jolly monster than that in the "Leviathan" track
